Warning Description: Lake Effect Snow Advisory

Warning Date: 8:03 PM CST on December 7, 2016

WarningSum:...Lake Effect Snow Advisory Remains In Effect Until 3 Pm Cst
Friday...

Warning Message:* locations...northern portions of Bayfield and Ashland 
  counties...including the cities of Washburn...Bayfield and 
  Ashland.
* Timing... the most intense snow will be overnight... with light
  snow lingering through Friday.
* Snow accumulations...3 to 5 inches...locally higher amounts 
  possible at higher elevations.
* Winds...northwest 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Visibilities...as low as a quarter mile at times.
* Impacts...the heavy snow will make many roads impassable and 
  may produce power outages due to the weight of the snow on 
  tree limbs and power lines.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake-effect snow is forecast
that will make travel difficult in some areas. Lake-effect snow
showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be
intense enough to drop several inches in localized areas. Use
caution when traveling.
